Abstract

The device can be fitted to tractor driven wheels to improve traction and avoid slip on soft ground. It consists of a fixed cheek having swivelling axes (7) for teeth (4) and a moving crown piece hinged on the circumference of the fixed cheek and having tenons (6) which mate in the tooth openings. The fixed cheek is held to the wheel rim by screws or nuts and has a groove on which moves the crown piece. This crown piece has notches, to hold it in a working or idle position. The toothed parts can be moved by hand or hydraulic jack and are at the side of the tyre (1).
