Abstract

The device controls the cutter bar of a combine harvester (or similar machine), the bar being pivoting and supported by a hydraulic jack by means of which the height of the cutter bar can be regulated. The jack is supplied by a hydraulic pump through a multi-channel valve, controlled electrically by means of a multiple switch which selects various operations and which is connected to an electrical supply. In the pipe from the hydraulic pump to the jack, between the latter and the multi-channel valve, are arranged an electronically controlled stop valve and, in parallel to the latter a shut-off or pressure restricting valve.
