Abstract

The microfilm production device is for use with original documents and has a glass plate (18) in the scanning zone (14) with a lengthy main surface (20) lying in the focal plane of the scanning device. A lateral axis (53) stretches forward from the main surface (20). A transport roller pair (22, 23) is situated between the glass plate and the document input device (10) which feeds the original (D) into the scanning zone (14). The transport rollers form a gap for uptake of documents which lies in front of the main surface of the glass plate (20) in a plane (58) passing through the axis of rotation of the transport rollers, to ensure that input documents arrive accurately in the scanning zone.
