Abstract

Method comprises applying and drying a coloured varnish in the plastics and then pref. applying a solvent based adhesive on which is placed a "lumazine" laminate. This laminate consists of a substrate of rhodialine, which is electrolytically coated with an aluminium film, and has the appearance of metallic foil, being silvery-bright on one side, which is the back, and, on the other side, coloured, i.e. brilliant or golden or silvery. It is essential to submit the lumazine laminate once or twice to a very weak flame. The colours are obtd. by applying a special varnish to the laminate by means of a brush or pad.
