Abstract

Decorative patterns for lamp shades or luminous panels can be made from transparent plastics sheet such as cellophane. The cellophane is coated with an adhesive which is then covered with protective film. A pattern is then cut in the protective film. A portion (A) of the film is then peeled off and the exposed surface is covered with coloured powder or sand. The remaining areas are peeled off in turn and covered with powders of different colours to produce the required pattern.
