Abstract

A film laminate having metallic nmetallised) appearance comprises a thermoplastics base foil that may be coloured, pigmented or printed on, and a transparent film laminated on top of it and contng. metal parrtiticles, e.g. metal flakes or platelets. Relatively small amounts of metal particles are required to impart to the product a brilliant metallic appearance comparable with that of metallic varnishes used on motor vehicles.
