Abstract

The apparatus comprises a flat table (1) fitted with straps to hold the patient. The table is mounted on pivots, one in the centre of each long side, located in housings in an A-shaped frame (2). A large diameter handwheel (4) is provided, connected to the table pivot bearings to manipulate its angle of inclination. To maintain the table in a stable position, a stay rod (5) is provided, this being attached to a pivot (2a) on the side of an A-frame and its other end being hooked for insertion in one of a series of holes along the side of the table.
