Abstract

The valve body (1) fits into the extinguisher and has the propellant gas capsule screwed in. Above this capsule is a perforator forming the end of a spring loaded rod (6, 13) bearing against a pivoted lever (8, 9) outside the extinguisher. This lever has a safety catch (20, 23, 24) retaining a second lever (17) above it operating a spring loaded rod (15, 16), this having a plug (14) sealing the outlet. Releasing the safety catch allows piercing of the capsule, the gas pressurising the extinguisher contents, and these being released in a controlled manner by manipulating the upper lever.
