Abstract

The prefabricated joist-form reinforcement cages for use in reinforced concrete slabs bar (1) and two (2, 3) at the bottom all locating symmetrically relative to a vertical axis, and independent equally spaced open stirrups (5) welded transversely to the longitudinal bars. The stirrups are of inverted 'V' form with the apex fixing to the top bar and leg ends to bottom bars. The legs also diverge from the 'V' apex to join bottom bars in the vertical transverse plane containing the adjacent stirrup apex. The bars and stirrups are welded together to form an initial flat rectangular grid and then bent to the above form.
