Abstract

A numerical device is controlled by an analogue control value, following which the value appears at the output of the numerical device to represent of the position of the device. This controlled value is compared with the analogue value so as to obtain a control signal indicating the amplitude and the sense of variation necessary to counteract any difference. The method consists of converting the output value of the numerical device into a first time modulated signal, and of converting the analogue input value into a second time modulated signal so as to form the control signal for the numerical device.
