Abstract
The flexible torsion coupling is between two independent rotating axes each of which may take an inclination angle to the principal axis. The bearing members are of the same size but opposite hands. Each comprises a spindle (1) in end trunnions (2) immersed in an oil bath. These are supported by bushes (3) carried by chairs (4). The end faces of the spindle has spherical seatings on the races. In cross section the spindle has the form of a central square toothed core surrounded by a loose fitting mating sheath.
