Abstract

A rotor arm (5) is mounted on ball bearings (6 and 7). The rotor arm is fitted with a short mast at each end. One mast (3) is parallel with a drive shaft (9) to which the rotor arm is connected. The other mast is in a plane at right angles to the first. The spaces between the rotor arm and the masts are filled with synthetic material to form blades. The blades are fixed and the assembly is dynamically balanced. The mechanism may be used as a fan or propeller in either a gas or a liquid.
