Abstract

The wheel suspension consists of a telescopic shock absorber (10) surrounded by a coil spring (13) whereby the lower end of the shock absorber is rigidly fixed to the wheel hub (22) and the upper and is secured by a keeper plate (1) to the chassis (11). In order that the shock absorber may be exchanged easily, the keeper plate and the opening in the chassis are of such dimensions that, after releasing the keeper plate from the chassis, the shock absorber can be removed upwards through the chassis opening. The opening could also be made large enough to permit the upper spring plate (12) for the coil spring (13) to be removed.
