Abstract

The spectacle frames are as in 72.27844 with the additional feature (5) that the base of the clevis or fork end loop has a practically flat oblique face against which the free end of the blade (15) applies itself in the deformed state. The blade may be supported, between its attachment point and its free end, against a convex surface near its midpoint. The convex surface may be that of a ball embedded under the blade in the arm of the frame. The arm is terminated by a convex fillet and a concave fillet is carried by the corresponding end of the front of the frame.
