Abstract

1452247 Conveyer spill plate arrangements INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTIONS (MIDLANDS) Ltd 25 July 1975 31126/75 Heading B8A A side skirt 11 is clamped in position relative to a belt conveyer and against a frame plate 10 by the action of clamping face 7 having a plurality of projections which pierce the surface of the skirt. As shown, the face 7 elongated and carried by arms 5 mounted on a torsion bar 8 as described in Specification 1,452,246. By applying torsion to the bar 8 using a lever arm (not shown), the clamps can thus be held in position by putting a pin through an aperture 17 in an arm 17 carried by the bar 8, and a selected hole 14 on a fixed plate 13. The torsion bar 8 may be formed from a series of sections having a squared stud and socket connection (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown).
