Abstract
Device for the rapid cooling of large glass panes using air-jets to achieve thermal pre-stressing, using two wind boxes facing each other and fitted with front plates provided with numerous projecting blowpipes. Each box is divided into at least three separate chambers by walls located at 90 degrees to the front plate, and the press. of the air, which is above atmos. press. in each chamber, can be independently controlled.
