Abstract

A wear plate, for a pivot point in the frame of a railway goods wagon, is retained at an angle of 45 deg. between the sloping side of a cast triangular member held by springs against the sloping side of a cross member passing through a stand board opening through a longitudinal of the goods wagon chasis, the longitudinal also being supported by springs. This wear plate (36) has two sides at right angles to a third side, the fourth side having sloping faces (48). The plate is located by a weld (46) with the abutting triangular support member on one side, and two further welds (58) on the two sloping sides. These welds also assist location for assembly.
