Abstract

The machine for grinding cutting edge of a band saw blade or cutting strip, with a curved guide (3) holding the ends (6) of a pair of arms (R8) each carrying a grinding roller (12) at its end between which the blade (22) passes, both rollers being driven, has the suspension system design to allow for reduction in size from a maximum radius (R12) to a minimum diameter (R23). This adjustment path (12, 23') is along a straight line (26-27) which is at an angle (W2) to the vertical (30) through the tip (27) of the cutting edge, and this angle (W2) is equal to the angle (W1) between the horizontal and the slope of the edge of the blade.
