Abstract

The rotating window is rotated about a horizontal axis and the side member of the moving frame supports a hinge consisting of two brackets connected by a hinge pin. The penetration of moisture and draught forming gaps are prevented in the hinge region by a projecting U cross section engaging channel in both hinge plates. The moving frame carries a hinge plate (8) on a fixed frame bent near the hinge pin to form a U shaped cross section channel which projects sideways so that it contacts the similar upwards projecting side (16) of the channel in the hinge plate (7) on the moving frame. This hinge assembly is fitted at about mid length of the side members of the moving frame so that the ends of this frame are released from contact with the fixed frame.
