Abstract
Cassette for winding band material such as film includes a winding spool (5) which is so constructed that it can rotate in one direction only, to wind the band material. The spool (5) is driven by a drive (14, 15) consisting of a friction wheel (15) engaging the circumference of the spool (5) and mounted on free end of an arm (14). The cassette is fitted with an arrangement (17, 19) for tensioning the band material which includes spring loaded tensioning roller (17) mounted on free end of pivoting arm (18) which moves the roller (17) across direction of the band movement. Alternatively the tensioning roller (17) is mounted on a sliding platform or console.
