Abstract

The two rollers (1, 2) are mounted on parallel axes (3, 4) at the end of the pressure arm (7), so as to engage the reverse side of the magnetic tape (5) at two spaced points relative to the centre axis of the transducer head (6). The pressure arm (7) is L shaped and its pivoted about a shaft (8) at the opposite end to the two rollers (1, 2) with a coil spring fixed to the arm (7) approximately half-way along it, so as to maintain the rollers (1, 2) in engagement with the tape (5), these rollers (1, 2) being rotated due to the advancement of the tape (5) past the transducer head (6).
