Abstract

The panels, which meet along their sides, are mounted on supports at their corners so that an open space is left under the floor. Each panel's sides are fitted with detachable media for connection with the next, between the corners. The load-bearing panels have plates lying at an interval to each other, with the connecting media extending through the adjacent sides directly next to the upper and lower plates, and detachably joined to those of the adjacent panels, so that vertical and horizontal deflection of each panel is maintained and partly taken up by adjacent panels. The space is accessible by detachment of the connecting media from the top part of a panel, and removal of one or more panels. A homogeneous floor system is produced, with underfloor services readily accessible.
