Abstract

The scotch consists of two jaws, one external and one internal, hinged together and locked together with an arm covering the wheel fixing details. There are means of locking the jaws by tamper-proof fixings. There is also a wedge device pressing on the ground on a curved face, between the tyre on the wheel to be locked and the jaws to prevent the wheel rolling or slipping on the road. Jaw arms pivot on the ground, so causing the jaws to become detached and so freeing the wheel. The jaws are L shaped, with parts pressing on the tyre sides, but not on the wheel rim.
