Abstract

The measuring system, for indication the slow or fast running of the timepiece in seconds per day, operates by counting the pulses from a reference oscillator during a time interval dependant on the running of the timepiece. The counts are effected simultaneously, the first recording the reference frequency in order to determine an ideal time period, and the second up to a predetermined number. The second count is initiated by a signal from the timepiece and the count recorded by the second counter when the signal from the timepiece and the end of the ideal time period occur in a time interval less than the total time for the second count, represents the error of the timepiece.
