Abstract

The pyrometer duct encircles the gas turbine outlet manifold which contains the hot exhaust gases. This consists of an outside and inside sections. The duct is integral with the end connectors which connect with multiple contact points, taking the high temperature cables and the metal connectors at the terminal blocks for the thermocouple. The arrangement ensures longer life for the electrical equipment and allows for polystyrene insulation against vibration.
