Abstract
The arrangement is of the type whereby a vessel (4) for carrying loose products such as fluids or powders is loaded or discharged at sea by a system comprising mooring means (40, 3) and loading/discharging means (1) comprising a tower (2) supported on the seabed (5) which carries a movable loading arm. The mooring means are independent of the loading/discharging system. They may consist of a floating body (3) acting as a buoy which wholly or partly surrounds the tower (2) and is anchored (8) or otherwise secured by chains or cables to a fixed point. The chains (8) are preferably arranged in pairs which cross over and are connected at the cross-over point (8') by a common link or ring.
