Abstract

A machine tool carriage for use with rotating tools for perpendicular advance movements imparts to the tools circular trajectories, e.g. permitting milling rounded corners with an indirect means of rotating the tool bearing shaft (1), i.e. crown wheel (3), planet wheel (5) and pinion (2) arrangement so that the tool can be moved to an eccentric station via a circular path. For the circular path obtained for the tool bearing shaft on axis (16), the ring (15) is freed enabling plateau (14) to rotate about axis (13), through e.g. 90 deg. and the shaft to displace along the path.
