Abstract

A spectacle frame hinge has abutment zones level with the hinge and on the front surfaces of the articulated arms rest against corresponding abutment zones in the central region of the frames when the arms are opened by a pivoting movement. By rotation of a control rod, the part of the hinge on the articulated arm can be made to run longitudinally on the arm on a guide rail. A screw bushing (14) is countersunk in the arms (1) near to the hinge. The control rod, in the form of a screw (16), may be screwed in from the front side (13) of the arm (1) and located in the part of the hinge (8) which is on the side of the arm. The extremity (18) of the rod is not screwed into the bushing (14) but is supported axially.
