Abstract
In this system, the two stations (1, 2) are linked by parabolic aerials (3, 4). Each station can consist of a number of solid state transmitters (10-12, 23-25) and a number of receivers (13-15, 20-22) whose frequencies are mutually displaced in the band of (20-60) Gigahertz. Between the receivers and transmitters of one station are automatic gain control circuits (131-151). The A.G.C. can operate either upon the supply to the transmitters or upon a motor which controls a (45db) attenuator in the aerial circuit. This overcomes changing propagation characteristics without interference to adjacent channels.
