Abstract

A vehicle engine fuel and wear economiser works on the principle of making the accelerator travel harder, by using a spring or similar device. This comes into effect once the accelerator is past the point of optimum performance of the engine. It also has the advantage that a driver is constantly aware of the point past which performance deteriorates. The limiting point which can be the speed of engine rotation can be varied and full performance is always available.
