Abstract
928,578. Toothed gearing. R. HOPT. Aug. 11, 1961 [Aug. 20, 1960], No. 29051/61. Class 80 (1). A gear-wheel, which is divided into two components 1, 1<SP>1</SP> which are relatively rotatable to a small extent against spring action for the purpose of taking up backlash between it and another gear-wheel in engagement therewith, is characterized in that it is produced by moulding and includes integral webs 2 connecting the components 1, 1<SP>1</SP> to provide the spring action. Preferably, the gear-wheel is formed by injection moulding from a polyamide or similar synthetic resin composition and is reinforced by metal discs 8, 8<SP>1</SP>. The gear section 1 is keyed on a shaft 4.
