Dehydration of agricultural prods. is carried out by wet grinding of prods., with partial recycle of extracted juice, juice and solids are septd. and juice is conc. Process is used esp. for treatment of maize, lucine; process uses less energy than normal process using rotary drier, with less loss of proteins, sugars etc. Sepn. is pref. by centrifugation; concn. pref. by multiple effect evaporator.
