Abstract

The containers arrive at one level (I) and equal numbers travel up and down inclined conveyors (1a, 4a). These conveyors are side by side, and are of a length and gradient, with the lower conveyor curved, so that two containers arrive together at the superimposing station (II). The pairs move onward, driven by side conveyors with spacing attachments. An inclined conveyor (14b) raises wrapping sheets (15) to arrive on a conveyor (14a) in synchronisation with the pairs of containers. The sheets are withdrawn individually from a magazine (16) by a system of rotating hooks and pivoted suction pads.
