Abstract

A latent curing epoxy resin compsn. comprises (1) an epoxy resin and (2) an aromatic disulphonamide where (1) and (2) are present in amts to provide a sulphonamide hydrogen equiv: epoxy equiv. ratio of >=0.9:1 pref. 0.9:1 to 1.25:1. Pref. (1) is glycidyl ether of bisphernol A and (2) is diphenyl oxide disulphonamide. Pref. 0.1-5 pbw on total (1) + (2) of an accelerator is also used. Pref. accelerators are phosphonium salts, imidazoles, ammonium salts, alkali metal hydroxides or their mixts.
