Abstract

Corrosion resistant plastics comprises an epoxy resin a fluorinated resin and a hardener. The epoxy resin is pref. derived from epichlorohyrin and bisphenol A, or it may be an aliphatic or novolak epoxy resin. The fluorinated resin is pref PVF, PVDF or an ethylene, tetrafluoroethylene copolymer. The hardener is pref. complex of BF3 acetyl acetonate. The compsn. is resistant to organic solvents and acids and is used for the prodn. of tubes, vats etc. The compsn pref. comprises 69-92, esp. 80% epoxy resin, 5-23, esp. 15% fluorinated resin and 1-8, esp. 3-5% hardener.
