Abstract

A pulse counter receives a signal of frequency fo greater than the frequency F of the signal to be produced. A memory contains information which is a function of the quantity foT where T is the period of signal F. The counter capacity is limited to a given number A and if this capacity is reached and a supplementary pulse arrives at the counter input, the counter is reset to zero. The counter has a weighting input, and gates for introducing into the counter a determined number C = A-(foT-1). The gate has an input connected to the output of the memory and an output connected to the weighting input. The gate has a controlled input for a control signal introducing the number C into the counter when the counter is reset.
