Abstract

The lamp comprises a reflector with a bulb and a front lens fitting into the reflector so as to form a sealed joint. On the outside of the reflector (10) there is a mounting flange (18) set back from the forward edge, running right the way round and preferably perpendicular to the reflector surface. The lens (22) has a peripheral flange (24, 26) fully complementary to the portion of the reflector in front of the flange (18) so as to form a seal against it. When the lamp is mounted in the vehicle, the portion of the reflector in front of the mounting flange extends part of the way in front of the grille, being only visible from outside through the lens flange.
