Abstract

A storage container used in the inter. processing of e.g. fruits, vegetables, etc. is cylindrical and has internally a perforated platform mounted on a hollow rotatable shaft mounted on the axis of the container. As the shaft rotates the platform sweeps the inside of the container and solid matter on the platform passes into an axial vent, in the shaft and is removed through the bore of the shaft. Pref. liqs. are removed through an exhaust pipe connected to the base of the container. Solid and liq. matter are automatically sepd. in a controllable manner.
