Abstract
The relay has a magnetic circuit (7) with air-gap (10) and at least one primary winding, a magnetic sensing device (11) situated in the air-gap (10) and an amplifier (12) whose input is connected to the magnetic sensing device (11) and whose output is the output of the relay. The magnetic sensing device (11) is a Hall effect probe. The number of primary windings (8, 9) corresponds to the number of poles of the line to be protected. These primary windings (8, 9) are inserted in the lines and after the contacts (4) of a contact breaker whose electromagnetic release (6) is connected to the output of the amplifier (12). The relay can detect differences in the currents of the lines and actuate a protection contact breaker.
