Abstract

The conveyor belt with circular arc shaped ridges on its surface to assist transport of objects. Each arc (3) is of more than 180 deg. and the closed part of one enters into the opening of the next. Any transverse section of the belt thus cuts at least one ridge. A variation has a 180 deg. arc with extensions parallel to the axis of the belt. The size of the ridges is such that there is 20 to 30% of the belt width between the edge of the belt and the part of the ridge furthest from the belt axis.
