Abstract
The device has a cylindrical body containing a central passage for flow of filling fluid. The body has a cylindrical recess containing an axially slidable valve ring urged away from a valve seat by springs. The container opening is pressed into the body so that it seals on a seal ring on the outer face of the valve ring and presses the ring against spring pressure onto its seat which carries a further seal ring. When the container is removed residual fluid in the recess escapes through a radial opening in a predetermined direction. The valve ring directly engages the container valve.
