Abstract

Vertically aligned pins carry door support plates and are supported by static horizontal eyelet rods which permit pin rotation about the vertical axis. Caps fit on the ends of the pins and form neckings for location of the eyelet bolts. Each cap has a socketed pin fitting into a recess in the end of a pin and over a ball bearing (6) to obtain a strongly wedged connection. Door support plates are connected by twin tongues engaging pin notches. A press is used to join the components and swage the pin edges to lock plate tongues.
