Abstract

The mechanism is effective for unloading a silo onto a conveyor belt (18). It consists of a wall forming a flat shovel (16) fitted with a number of spikes (17), equidistant from each other, on the lower end. The shovel is carried at each end by a pair of articulated arms (31, 32) fixed to a wall. The angle between the articulated arms may be changed by means of hydraulic jacks (23). The angular position of the shovel is controlled by a jack (23) connected to a brace between the pair of arms (32) and a fourth jack (21) fitted with a floating anchorage controls the first arms. The area swept by the shovel is laterally bounded by end walls (1).
