Abstract

The vertical cement silo has a base incorporating a discharge port. Inside the silo and directly above the base (14) are one or more auger conveyors (16), extending from the periphery to the port. The auger is uncovered inside the silo for part at least of its length being immersed in the cement. Part of it can be enclosed in a length of tube, from which the discharge port extends downwards. It can extend diametrally right across the silo, the port being opposite its end and close to the edge of the base. Its other end can also be enclosed in a tube, from which an auxiliary discharge port extends downwards, the driving motor being reversible.
