Abstract

Veterinary compsns. comprising, as active component, low doses of alkali metal or alkaline earth selenates or selenites. Pref. salts are of Na+ and NH4+. Pref. compsns contain also org. or inorg. salts of Co, Zn or Mn which potentiate the action of Se. A suitable concn. of selenite in drinking water is 0.01 ppm. A suitable concn. of Co or Mn salt in the food or drinking water is 0.01-100 ppm.
