Abstract

The objects (21) are stacked on a rigid tray (51) and held in place by a sheet of thermally shrunk plastic film (25). A layer of suitable shock absorbing material (53, 55), for example form rubber, is attached to one or both sides of the tray. The tray is then fixed to a sheet of cardboard (57). The surrounding sides of the container (59) are placed in position and the side flaps (63, 65) of the bottom sheet bent up and glued in position. A cover (71) completes the container. A variation has trays at top and bottom of the container.
