Abstract

The AC lighting circuit (L1, L2) is supplied from a DC supply stage (1) via a detector stage (2) responsive to the ambient lighting conditions. The detector (2) comprises a voltage divider, with a photocell, and a release stage, comprising a relaxation pulse generator (4), responds to a given voltage threshold across the divider, to operate a relay (5) for the lighting circuit (L1, L2). Preferably a time circuit (3) employing resistors and capacitors is inserted between the voltage divider and the release stage. A capacitor can be used to filter the regulated supply and also used as the charge storage element for the relaxation pulse generator (4).
