Abstract
The delayed release contactor, or relay, can be additionally connected to the contactor. The contactor has an excitation coil which is bridged by a series circuit containing a rectifier and a capacitor. A thyristor (Th) is connected in parallel to the rectifier (D). The thyristor is ignited by a control electronic circuit (Z). The electronic circuit is also parallel to the excitation coil (RL). To the latter is preferably parallel-connected a second capacitor (C2) in series with a resistor (R2). Thus the capacitance of the capacitor is fully utilised for the release delay, while the capacitor discharge is safeguarded during this delay. No external supply is required for the delayed release.
