Abstract

Closure for sacks especially laundry sacks includes a strap attached with one end to the sack near its open end and wound round the open end to close the sack. The free end of the sack is secured in position by clamping it between the sack surface and part of the strap fastened to the sack end. The strap which has across its width only a limited flexibility is provided along its side adjoining the sack surface with a surface of an increased friction. The strap has its end folded over before it is attached to the sack wall and its free end is also folded over a distance to ensure that the folded part with the bag enclosed is positioned below part of strap adjoining end of the strap attached to the sack wall. The strap end attached to the sack wall forms an angle of 20 deg. to 60 deg. against longitudinal axis of the sack.
