Abstract

The bag is made from polyethylene sheet, sealed at the bottom and open at the top. Near this opening, the bag (1) is cut parallel to the top edge, forming a narrow strip (2) and leaving a section (3) uncut to one side. The cut edges and the uncut portion are reinforced by double folds and heat welding. After filling, its mouth below the strip is gathered together, in the form of pleats, towards the uncut portion. The strip is then folded round the leated neck, being brought round the bag and pulled tightly through itself to form a knot. The loop is used for carrying.
